. Though we produce, according to the visitors Events, tastiest strawberries because of small quantities and other vulnerabilities in the processing and marketing we are not larger exporters, which is a real shame

Beautiful space in front of the church in Gredetin this year on Sunday 2nd June, the seventh time was filled with admirers of the first fruits of spring - Her Majesty strawberry. Some thirty exhibitors from Rasina and Nis region presented a large and tasty fruits to visitors who wanted to learn about the production of the leading strawberry producers in this area. Beautiful and extremely delicious fruits with a rich range of varieties didn't leave indifferent foreign and domestic guests. There were visitors from neighboring Macedonia, Tetovo, and there were present and co-owner of Dutch nursery "Rapo" Werner Huck and associate the Dutch selection company "Flash Forvat" Filip Liten from Belgium. Foreign guests, from which we often buy seedlings, were in disbelief at large strawberries, and even more surprised when they try them, because their taste senses and satisfy the most demanding lovers of fruits. That the strawberries from the area are in the very top was confirmed by representatives of the Danish development program in southern Serbia fruit Fruits & Berries, who for the third time helped organizing this event.

Senior Advisor to the program Dagfin Moe says that the strawberries planted in this area are impressive.

- I am truly impressed that in terms of production, in particular as far as taste. Maybe it was the tastiest strawberries I have ever tasted and it offers great opportunities for local producers of strawberries. If we had more of these manufacturers, such as those present today, they would have make Serbia is one of the major exporters of strawberries in the neighboring countries, and countries in Europe. You just need to provide sufficient quantities of Serbian strawberries.

Mr. Moe on this occasion noted that the manufacturer should, in order to popularize production, to join the cooperative. He added that their program will continue to assist farmers to achieve these impressive results in the cultivation of this delicious aromatic fruit.

- By joining the cooperative work together on packaging, product placement, marketing, and manufacturers will thus get a better price in the domestic and foreign market. Again, the quality is very good, the only problem is to provide sufficient quantities. Makes me want to cry when I see the untapped potential and how many unemployed people do not use those resources instead to hire and work the land - says our source.

There are those who would use the benefits of fertile arable land around Aleksinac, but do not own land. They take on lease land and raise crops that can serve as a case study. One of them is Kristijan Pavlović from �itkovac, founder of modern production in this area, who thinks that for interested producers there should be provided funds for the purchase of arable land under similar conditions as for home loans with favorable interest rates, longer repayment period and the mortgage on the purchased land as the security obtained loans. Zlatko Mate�ić from Vakup, who came to this area from Sombor, intends to expand production on several acres, as this is currently the financial survival of their families attached to this production. He, too, needed land ownership. And Goran Dinić from �itkovac planted strawberries taking the land on lease. No such problems are present with Du�ica Milenković from Nozrina who works with younger members of her family, her son and daughter-in-law, produced the most delicious strawberries. On their own soil, enriched with manure, the family began to deal with growing strawberries from last year. In this first year of the manufacturing Milenković family already recovered investment and start earning.

Behind them do not skimp youngster Milo� Novković from Gredetin and his peer Aleksandar Novković who chose to preserve among other industrial tradition of strawberries, especially "Senga Sengana." That there is demand in the domestic and international market for frozen strawberry industry was confirmed by the Director of refrigerators in Bojnik Miodrag Cvetković, who believes that we currently have significantly more processing capacity than raw materials.

With their skills, dedication to work, hard work and willingness to get to grips with the harsh reality that is called the market, these people deserve not only respect, but also help in achieving their vision.
